Happiness is the state of God. I have heard of happiness described as bliss. Bliss as a noun is defined as: perfect happiness; great joy.
If happiness is really the state of God, then that is what I really want! And if God is within, then that is where I will go. Within. We all should return to what we inherently know is home. We feel happiness when we feel God, feel fulfillment, feel excellence, feel deliverance, feel compassion, feel beauty and when we feel these attributes, we feel the creative force in all.
Today I am listening to music (Jana Mana Gana) that Tagore created, my head feels airy and light and I feel a pleasant sweeping force moving within me. My head is swaying (dancing really!) and I am so peaceful and cozy from the flute that is playing in a lullaby fashion. I feel as if I am in water. This is caused by the effect of the sound and its vibration. Happiness is the feeling produced in me by this sound. When I am happy I am creative. Creativity is that ability to allow the flow of God to produce something unique and wonderful in some way. It is the inspiration we feel when we hear inspired music or see inspired paintings, poetry or observe inspired movement (dance).
Happiness is creation. The worlds are created for happiness and for joy. So if the world was created for happiness and joy, one might ask why then does fear and pain also exist. My answer would be they exist to force change. Fear and pain are the alarm clocks for change. Fear causes mental movement. Pain is the forced physical movement. If one remains joyful where they are, there would not be any change and change is a part of the creative process. Change is the ongoing process of creation.
While I never look forward to fear and pain, I always look forward to change. With a broader understanding of the nature of creation we can move through fear and pain to the next level of experience which is usually happiness! I'll keep this in mind the next time I am in pain! But for now wishing you happiness!
Be well and Be happy!
Don't worry be happy! One of my favorite songs. Thank you.
