P is for Perfect

per·fect
  1. adjective pərfikt/having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.
  2. verb pərˈfekt/ make (something) completely free from faults or defects, or as close to such a condition as possible.

Perfect is whole (a thing that is unbroken, undamaged) and complete and brings the experience of peace.  Nothing need be added or subtracted.  Perfect is. Perfect is also a state of being.

Imagine everyone and everything in its perfect form.  A bird, a dog, a child, a tree, a house and any other thing or being.  Imagining it in its perfect state allows us to see the intention of the creation.  We have all observed imperfection.  Imperfection brings sorrow.  However perfection brings joy and hope.  With a perfect model before us we understand and know our path.  With perfection presented we understand what the bar or level of attainment should be.

Perfection has been presented as something to attain, however perfection already exists in every experience and is a state of being that awaits our ability to experience it. Perfection exists in all of creation and in the diversity of it.

Our barrier to experiencing perfection is that we seek fault and ignore perfection.  We are afraid of perfection and prefer to experience imperfection because we are prepared to deal with it.  We are prepared to feel sorrow, disappointment, anger and frustration because they are the low hanging fruit.

Above are the highly placed fruit such as happiness, motivation, hope and excitement!  The emotions that encourage our participation and growth are supported by perfection. Because of the behaviors supported by our current social structure,  we are not prepared or expecting good feelings or good results.  We expect imperfection and imperfection leads to what we consider “bad” or “unpleasant” and the resulting experiences.

Perfection exists all around us.  However we are taught to seek out the imperfections  We are taught to “see” the injustices or to “see” what is wrong with our social structure and what is wrong within each other.  We have not become aware of what this approach does to our environment. We do not understand that this approach creates more of the imperfections we do NOT desire.

We will eventually see and experience perfection when we seek it.   Perfection is all around us. When we learn to  “spy with our little eye”  all of the perfections within creation, we will find that our experience becomes more perfect. With perfect experiences come perfect behaviors and with perfect behaviors comes a perfect world.

I hope that we all want perfection and I hope that we will all seek perfection everywhere.

Be well and be happy!
