G is for God...

Now that is a big one, in part because God is the most questioned belief in the world. Does God exist? Who and what is God? Who says so? Who can prove it? Does God really answer prayers? What's his name? Is God a he or a she? Is there one God or are there many Gods and Goddesses….demigods? Angels, Demons, Satan and other heaven forbids?

Who created the universe? Did it just occur? Big bang theory?  Then come the religions, priests, monks, ministers, pastors, gurus, mystics, saints, shamans, cults, followings, beliefs, non beliefs, atheists, ancient writings, scripts, channeled writings, what a load of controversy!  The questions of where did we come from, why are we here, what is our purpose and what is our true potential are met with a library of options! A library! All I want is a simple answer. (But only the truth.)

What is a seeker to believe?  What is a seeker to do?

As a seeker of truth, which I am.  I have to start with my own awareness which begins each morning. I am here, you are there.  I did not wake myself up.  I did awaken, I remember (sometimes) dreaming. It is morning and the hour has changed from when I “fell” asleep. Ahhh….Sleep... that glorious rest you get if you are not awakened (disturbed) from it. So who awakened me and why?

The drama that I left when I fell asleep has the potential to continue, but my approach to it can be different. If I do differently than I did yesterday a new aspect can unfold.  What is the purpose of my individual drama anyway?  Who are those beings that are engaged in my drama?  I know they too were awakened to the drama or this play of the day. Who awakened them and why?  I guess it is the same intelligent force that awakened me.

Who are we and why are we interacting together in this drama (or play) that we call the world?  (I call it the Earth World.) Of course this line of questioning brings me closer to what I believe inside. God did it!

In the few scriptures (writings) I have read, there is a beautiful story about a great being that was one and decided to become many.  Also in a scripture I read: John 1 King James Version (KJV)1.3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 1.4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

The life was the light of men.  Well, each morning the light of my life comes on. And if I am a part of the reference “men” then it must mean that God who is the light of my life, opens my eyes and the eyes of others in the world and the eyes of the plants, animals and everything to morning of the day.

What God doesn’t do is force me to climb out of bed.  I choose to do that.  He doesn’t animate me into any activities.  I choose what comes next.  Which hour I will get up, whether to pray, meditate, write, speak aloud, eat, bathe or just stay in bed.  Little decisions that impact the feel of the beginning of each day.

Once the light goes on in me and I am awake.  I can choose. We can choose.  We can then choose what we will do each day.  What we do each day either continues (perpetuates) the existing conditions of the world or changes it. G is for God, the light of men and the world.

Be well and be happy today.
