L is for Love

Love (noun) /ləv/: an intense feeling of attachment: synonyms include:

deep affection, fondness, tenderness, warmth, intimacy, attachment,endearment;

devotion, adoration, doting, idolization, worship;

passion, ardor, desire,lust, yearning, infatuation,

Love is an attraction with a purpose,  a force acting mutually between particles of matter (people, pets, places) tending to draw them together, and resisting their separation.

We all experience various degrees of love and we all love in various degrees.  So what is love or what is the purpose of love.  Love is that force that drives us into other people’s lives.  Love, like life is a mysterious force.  Often the purpose of love is unclear to us mentally,  we just feel it and we act on it.

We fall head over heels in love with someone (sometimes) and find ourselves on a journey that we may later come to hate! Where is the love then?  What has become of it? People say that love and hate are opposites of the same coin, that may be true. Hate is a force that separates, so when the purpose of love is complete hate or separation occurs.  What then is love really?

Love is a force with a purpose. That purpose is to nurture, encourage and to cultivate growth. Love is the force behind the expansion of the universe. It grows continuously.  Love is our own growth and expansion. With love we are fearless and we are willing to go on great adventures resulting in our growth in experience.  We love a place where are nurtured in some way or we nurture that place by taking care of it. We do art because we love the feel of it. Some people love to dance to feel that flow within them, others love to sing to feel that flow of sound, others love to make things, paint draw, play an instrument.  Love is that flow of energy that you feel expanding you.

With love we also sacrifice for the sake of others.  We love our children and we care for them.  We love our plants and  flowers and we water them.  We meet an animal and we make them our pets, we feed and care for them. We love someone and we nurture them. We love someone and we wait for them. We tell each other that love is the most important “thing” in the world and that without some form of it, we will perish.  But love is with us always, we are never without it.  Love is our life force expanding.
